As a manufacturing start-up, XeraCarb wanted an identity that reflected the industry they worked in but that stood apart from their very corporate competition. This was achieved by creating an identity that referenced the scientific nature of their work, incorporating the bonds and particles that make up atoms, whilst giving the company a sense of approachability through the use of clear typography and a minimal colour palette.
XeraCarb's competition are large multinational corporations with hard to navigate websites. It was very important to XeraCarb that their website allowed the user to get the information they needed quickly with minimum navigation. Built by Owen Waterhouse, the designs below show how the XeraCarb website looked when the brand launched – the website has since been redesigned.
