Snowdrops is a Pre-School for Girls and Boys aged 3+. Following their merger with Sheffield High School for Girls I was asked to create a new identity for them which would bring them in line with the Sheffield Girls' brand, whilst allowing for a degree of individuality.
The first step was to redraw the snowdrop element of the logo. Shown here are some of the different options I designed.
Above shows the chosen Snowdrop icon and its use within the finished logo. It sits alongside the Sheffield High School for Girls crest and the GDST logo. The Girls Day School Trust (GDST) owns Sheffield High School for Girls as well as a number of other independent girls schools.
Along with the new identity I designed a mini-prospectus appropriate for the mini audience at Snowdrops. The mini-prospectus gives an introduction to the Pre-School and the ethos of Sheffield Girls'. I designed a set of icons for the Prospectus, which helped to give the print a childlike quality. This icon set will expand as the requirements grow and develop.
Press and outdoor advertising will be an integral part of publicising what Snowdrops has to offer.
